B.G., former member of Cash Money’s Hot Boys, was sentenced to 14 years in prison after a federal court found him guilty of gun possession and witness tampering.
In 2009, police pulled over a vehicle in which B.G., real name Christopher Dorsey, was traveling in. Police then found 3 guns in the car which ended up being a stolen vehicle as well. B.G. pled guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm.
The witness tampering charge stems from B.G. trying to convince one of his associates to falsely claim ownership of the gun. His associate, Demounde Pollard, claimed ownership of the gun but it was later revealed that the gun had been Dorsey’s all along.
Court filings also linked B.G. to some of the city’s most high profile murders. All of this served as aggravating factors in the sentencing.
